My Mother's Touch

Yearning for the warmth of my mother
as a baby did I come;

With my tender heart repeating
the rhythm of her every beat;

Grew up as a beauty adorned with her love;

just in time for her to nourish me
with courage for every day;

Cherishing the smile that I admired on her lips!

As the sunshines,
the birds chirp,
the flowers bloom,

The gentle breeze to the wind did I turn,

As she expected me to churn.......

Entered a world of fancy daisies,

Lost in self admiration, let loneliness creep in me:

Just then felt the touch of a person,

Teenage thrill and pressure in me,

I was the princess of my castle,

Dancing with my prince in every dream

Till I lost my peace,
realizing it was still a dream.

Needed to rest in her arms

Took a poetry to make me realise,

Times I had together,
MY MOTHER AND ME

Every step in my journey away from her
clasps the pangs of death on me.

Longing to be as a baby,
still struggling in her bosom,

Waiting to see happiness,
have its fullness in her,

When the earth gives her a privileged look,

TO THE BEAUTY OF HER FEMININE NATURE,

Do I dedicate this song of my heart,

As words penned down in my poem,

MY MOTHER'S TOUCH
